From classic hostas to new introductions, from miniature hostas to giants, our hosta collection has something for everyone.

Our Nursery in West Yorkshire is devoted to Hostas and in our Website you will find something to appeal to everyone, from the hosta beginner to the serious collector.

Our Catalogue lists over 450 hosta varieties, including old favourites, classics and an exciting range of the very newest varieties.

We particularly specialise in miniature and very small hostas, offering around 150 varieties and cultivars, some rare and hard to find.

To simplify ordering, our hostas are all listed again on our Ordering Page.

Most varieties listed are accompanied by a photograph to make choosing easy.

We sell through by mail order and, by arrangement, to personal visitors to our Nursery.

Thank you for visiting our Website. Enjoy your hostas!!

News & Shows

We wish all our customers and all hosta growers a really wonderful 2018.

We have now added 2018 new varieties to our Catalogue.

This year will be an exciting one for us. A new Website is on the way which will allow our customers to browse our Catalogue by hosta size (Miniature, Non-miniature, Giant etc.) and also by plant features such as leaf colour, shape, texture, scented flowers, sun tolerance, and slug resistance. There will also be a Search Slot if you are looking for anything more specific.

We hope our new Catalogue will be ready early season, March or April, before most gardeners are ready to choose their plants.

We will be adding some equally exciting new hostas to our stock including two new 'Mouse' hostas (Flamenco Mouse and School Mouse)and the first hosta with red in the leaf, 'First Blush'. New 'Giants' include Big John, Humpback Whale, Jurassic Park, Key West and Kingsize.

Other additions include H. Bashful, Bright Star, Christmas Island, Devon Blue, Enduring Beacon, First Love, Kiwi Hippo, Kogarashi Nakafu (mini), Lemon Meringue, Luna Moth, Milkmaid, Regalia, Smash Hit, Sparkler, Wonderful (mini), and Yankee Blue.

For those who have not visited our Website for a while, we have now retired from exhibiting at Shows and are focusing on our mail orders, aiming for a quick turn-around, and on welcoming visitors to our Nursery and Garden. This year we will be open again under the National Garden Scheme on 14th and 15th July and are hoping to arrange at least one Nursery Open Day (date to be announced). Hosta addicts who would like to visit us at another time will be made very welcome. Just give us a ring to make sure we are in.

For those wondering if it's worth a long trek to visit us, here are some of the attractions you might also fit in:

1 mile: Kirklees Light Railway. Narrow Gauge Steam Railway. 3.5 mile journey.
